As the days grow longer and spring fills the air with fresh energy, it’s the perfect time to slow down and savour the sweet moments.

Whether you’re curled up with a book or enjoying the breeze through an open window, these Favourite Chocolate Mountains offer just the right touch of comfort. With a rich, fudgy centre and a cozy splash of milk in the dough, they’re soft, indulgent, and perfect for treating yourself this season.

Ingredients

1 cup all-purpose flour

½ cup Hershey cocoa powder

1 tsp baking powder

¼ tsp salt

½ cup butter (softened)

¾ cup granulated sugar

2 tbsp brown sugar

1 egg

2 tbsp milk

1 tsp pure vanilla extract

½ cup chocolate chips

Directions

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.

In another bowl, cream the butter, sugars, egg, milk, and vanilla until smooth and well combined.

Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet until a soft dough forms.

Fold in the chocolate chips.

Scoop the dough into mounds and place on the baking sheet.

Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the edges are set but the centres are still soft.

Let cool slightly—then enjoy with a glass of milk, iced coffee, or your favourite summer drink.

Even as the world blossoms outside, it’s the little things, like a freshly baked cookie, that bring the most joy. So go ahead, treat yourself to something sweet this spring.
