Image for “Banana bread cookie dough balls”, Finding Your Bliss

I recently made these viral banana bread cookie dough balls from Elle Gibson and immediately understood the hype. They’re everything I love in a recipe: healthy, ridiculously easy, naturally sweetened, and somehow taste completely indulgent at the same time.

If you love banana bread and cookie dough, this is the perfect little treat to keep in the fridge for an afternoon pick-me-up or a sweet bite after dinner. I added a dark chocolate coating and flaky sea salt, and honestly, I can’t stop reaching for them.

Ingredients

  • 1 ripe banana, mashed
  • ½ cup peanut butter (or almond/cashew butter)
  • 1 cup oat flour (simply blend rolled oats)
  • ⅓ cup maple syrup or agave
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder (optional)
  • 100g dark chocolate, chopped or chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the mashed banana, nut butter, maple syrup, cinnamon, salt, and protein powder until smooth.
  2. Stir in the oat flour until a sticky, dough-like texture forms, then fold in the chocolate. If the mixture feels too wet, simply add a little more oat flour.
  3. Roll into bite-sized balls and place in the freezer for 15–20 minutes to firm up.
  4. Optional (but highly recommended): Melt the dark chocolate, dip each ball, and finish with a sprinkle of flaky sea salt.
  5. Store in the fridge and enjoy throughout the week.

Fair warning: these never seem to last long in my fridge. 💛
