WHAT shall I give? and which are my miracles?
Walt Whitman, "Miracles," Leaves of Grass
Realism is mine---my miracles---Take freely,
Take without end---I offer them to you wherever your feet can carry you, or your eyes reach.
I regard this chapter as something of a bonus—a special gift to you—as the Reality Dream Board is near and dear to my heart. It wasn’t my original intent to include it in this book. When I first began the writing process, I’d only shared it with a small group of clients and never publicly.
Now it is being unveiled here for you and the entire world to enjoy!
This isn’t your old-school vision board
You’ve probably heard at least something about vision boards. Perhaps you even created one for yourself at some point in your life. If you don’t have any familiarity with them, that’s perfectly okay, as the Reality Dream Board I devised is something different and special.
In simple terms, a vision board is an assemblage of images—photographs, drawings, clippings, etc.—typically arranged on a white poster board. Each person, place, or thing taped or glued onto the board represents a piece of an individual’s ultimate goals for the future. In other words, the design symbolizes what you wish to become. Once the board is created, it is part of regular visualization sessions, providing constant reminders and inspiration to strive to achieve future success.
Some business professionals and people who enjoy technology are choosing to create their vision boards on their computers. This gives them the benefit of being able to use a wider range of graphics and designing more elaborate boards. I suppose this method saves some space in your home as well. The downside of it being on the computer is that part of the vision board idea is to have it front and center for constant reminders and inspiration.
There is nothing wrong with the vision board concept or either method of creating it, but I believe my concept for a Reality Dream Board is far more instantaneous and potent. The philosophical idea behind my concept is most critical. As you create your Reality Dream Board and refer to it, you always must think in terms of the present—not the future. You are manifesting the desired reality in the moment, as if it is occurring in real time rather than happening at some vague date a few years later.
The Reality Dream Board projects what you already are—your true self—which accelerates the manifestation process. You are applying your heart, mind, and soul to the present as if the dream already exists in the here and now. The desired reality is already happening; you just don’t see it yet.
I liken the process to your favorite coffee or tea being prepared and brewed. The wonderful aroma fills your nostrils as soon as you scoop the grinds or leaves. During the water immersion process, the scent permeates your entire space. When it’s ready, you pour the liquid into your favorite mug or saucer and add your preferred sweetener and/or cream. You feel the heat on the sides of the cup with your hands and inhale the billowing steep with delight. As you sip the beverage, you feel the rush of warmth in your mouth, down your throat, into your digestive tract, and spreading throughout your system. We know what happens next since coffee and tea are loaded with caffeine: kaboom! You are charged with energy and ready to take on the world.
The Reality Dream Board does for your heart, mind, and soul what caffeine does for your body. It enables you to truly experience your dream in such a vivid way that it feels as if it is real and live in the moment.
The second distinction is that—surprise!—you aren’t crafting anything physical at all. You don’t need poster board, glue, tape, photographs, or any illustrative materials whatsoever. Remember back in chapter 6 when you magnified your visualization and projection skills? You are doing much the same here, taking on the roles of producer, director, screenwriter, and star of your own movie.
Lights, camera, action!
A projection is a mind-over-body single-point concentration technique designed to manifest thought in combination with visualization, turning it into reality. Imagine that your mind is an old-school movie projector that flickers light and images onto a screen. The details you incorporate into your film are things you need, want, desire, and deserve to happen in reality. This is a real-time masterpiece in motion, so while you want to keep the basic elements of your creation each time you revisit it, you can also take on the assignment of film editor and snip out, add, or rearrange things.
Best of all, since you are in total control of your movie, you aren’t bound by the same rules as other manifestation exercises, such as the Doors and the Love Arrows. With your Reality Dream Board, you can be as vague or as specific as you want. This is your opportunity to bring out your inner child, have fun, and play the game to the fullest without any guilt about being excessive or greedy.
Material requests are perfectly fine. For example, you might not want just any car; why not manifest a Jaguar? Owning a home might be nice, but perhaps your true desire is to own a magnificent villa in Italy. A CEO role with a Fortunate 500 company—why not? You may even long to have a sexy body like Scarlett Johansson, Margot Robbie, or Kate Upton or the good looks of Ryan Gosling, George Clooney, or Chris Hemsworth! When you tap into a mind-over-body single-point projection, anything is possible and there are no limitations.
My one caveat is that, while you can project yourself having lots of money, it’s best not to specify a dollar amount for this exercise. Simply stick to millions—or even billions—and the abundance will materialize.
The reality dream board 1-2-3 exercise
The Reality Dream Board 1-2-3 Exercise helps you build faith, bring the future into the present, manifest your hopes and dreams by connecting to your inner self, and accelerate the manifestation process. It is essential that you follow every step precisely as it is described. If you find that your mind is drifting into different visuals, calmly clear your head through deep breaths and restart the process from the beginning.
Find a private, comfortable area where you will not be disturbed. You can be seated, lying down, or standing for this exercise. Just before you begin, channel your mind to think in terms of a running movie projector that radiates a single beam of bright light. It is this concentrated ray of light that spins out lifelike images onto the screen. As with all my other manifestation exercises, you must believe with heart, soul, and mind that you are center stage of your film and the events are happening live.
Step 1
Take a deep breath in and out. Concentrate every ounce of thought into the midpoint between your eyebrows. Visualize a beam of light projecting outward in front of you from this spot.
Step 2
Picture a giant screen in the air in front of you; this is your screen or canvas. Place all your heartfelt intentions, goals, and dreams into the projection. It could be anything: riches, a house, love, health, travel, etc. Focus on connecting your higher self with the images you are seeing in your film.
Step 3
With the speed of a lightning bolt, use all powers of thought to deliver your film into your heart. Absorb the vision and sustain it in that location with complete assurance, knowing it is there. Accept that you have created your Reality Dream Board and it is real. Smile and enjoy the sensations of your movie coming to fruition.
For an extra boost, repeat the following mantra aloud as many times as you like: “I am living my dream now!”
This helps ensure that the universe is a receptive movie-goer attending your Reality Dream Board premiere.
